About Libby Brown

25 Years Inside.
Now in Your Corner.

A 25-year career built inside one organization — from the ground up to the top — taught me exactly what breaks a business and exactly what holds it together.

Hive Sugar was built from 25 years inside one of the country's most demanding operational environments — years of high-stakes operations, complex logistics, shifting expectations, and the kind of behind-the-scenes pressure only people who have lived it truly understand.

I didn't just watch businesses struggle — I lived the strain of systems that were messy, outdated, and stretched beyond their limits. I saw how much weight owners, teams, and leaders quietly carried while trying to grow something meaningful.

I knew what it cost to carry a business when no one above you understood the work. And I knew how much lighter it could be with the right person in your corner.

Hive Sugar is that better way.

The Full Story

Meet Libby

I'm Libby Brown — mom, wife, strategist, and founder of Hive Sugar. I spent more than two decades building the Atlanta Jewelry Show from the inside out. I started as a college student stuffing envelopes and eventually became Executive Director.

Along the way, I created programs like Bench Fusion, AJS Kids Jewelry Camp, Next GEM Academy, and The AJS Loupe — turning big ideas into meaningful, memorable experiences that exhibitors and attendees truly loved.

I handled logistics, built floor plans, negotiated with venues, created educational programs, secured sponsorships, and juggled thousands of moving parts twice a year. It was grit, guts, and a whole lot of late nights — and I loved it.

Before the Hive

"When COVID shut the industry down, I helped lead one of the only trade shows in the country that managed to keep going. That season taught me exactly what resilient operations look like — and what strong leadership really requires."

Over time, the direction the organization was heading no longer aligned with the values that matter most to me — transparency, collaboration, and putting people first.

I made the decision to step away and build something that reflected what I'd always believed business should be.

I left with gratitude for what we built, pride in how we showed up, and clarity about what I wanted to build next. I didn't leave to disappear. I left to build something better.

The Turning Point

I help:
Established owners in trades and family businesses who built real companies and are ready to modernize or step back
Business owners whose operations live entirely in their heads and need to get out
Founders who want to bring in the next generation or prepare for an eventual sale
Owners stretched too thin who need one person who knows the full picture
Any established business where the owner is the system
and that's becoming a problem

What I Am Building Now

Who I Help

Built for Established Business Owners

Established business owners running on chaos, gut instinct, and themselves
Owners who can't step away without everything falling apart
Businesses where the technology has moved faster than the team
Founders who built something real and are wondering what happens next
Anyone who needs someone in their corner who actually understands operational pressure
Jewelry industry and trade show businesses who need someone who already knows their world

If you've built something real and it's running you into the ground — or if you can't step away without everything falling apart — you're exactly who I built this for.

Why Hive Sugar

I'm not here for fluff or politics. I'm here to solve real problems, build systems that work, and help good people carry less — without burning out in the process.

What Makes This Different

I've Lived It
I'm not here for fluff or politics. I'm here to solve real problems, build systems that work, and help good people carry less — without burning out in the process.

I'm In Your Corner
I'm not a consultant who hands you a report and disappears. I'm the person who stays, who tracks the progress, who catches things before they become crises. Real accountability, not just advice.

I Speak Your Language
No corporate jargon. No 47-step frameworks. Clear thinking, honest conversations, and practical solutions that actually work in a real business with real constraints and real people.

THE TEAM

When you work with Hive Sugar, you work with me. That's by design.

You're not getting handed off to a junior associate or managed by someone who doesn't know your business. You get my full attention, my 25 years of experience, and my honest commitment to your outcomes.

That said — I'm not an island. Over 25 years I've built a trusted network of specialists I can call on when a project needs extra muscle: operations minds, creative support, marketing experts, technology pros, and customer experience specialists — each with years of proven results.

I lead. They support when the project calls for it. You always know who's in your corner.
